Welcome
The mission of the Humane Society of Dover-Stewart County (HSDSC) is to rescue abused, abandoned and neglected animals and place them into good homes. Our animals are checked by a veterinarian, vaccinated, spayed or neutered and then placed in our adoption program and housed by a volunteer foster parent. We are committed to long-term care and placement of our animals and therefore we do not euthanize as a means of population control or to make room for new animals.
The Humane Society of Dover-Stewart County was established on October 28, 1993 as an all volunteer, non-profit organization and currently consists of a small but dedicated group. Our programs include guidance to the volunteers who foster homeless dogs; planning and coordinating fund-raising and educational events; supporting adoption events at the Clarksville Petsmart; investigating animal cruelty complaints, including calls for assistance from the local police officers.
We are an all volunteer, non-profit organization financing our programs through adoption fees, fund raisers and outright donations. We welcome new members and if you would like to help out in any way please contact us.
